Mindfulness for Stress Course

 

This course is ideal for anyone experiencing stress in their life, whether it is due to work, relationships or loss, or any other factor outside your control. It is also suitable for people who wish to learn strategies to overcoming limited patterns and cope with the everyday difficulties and pace of modern life. 

 

In the Mindfulness for Stress course you learn: 

 

 - To lower bodily stress and increase a sense of relaxation and wellbeing, become more resilient, calmer, happier and more inspired.

 - How to apply mindfulness to all aspects of your life, giving you more choice in how you respond to life’s challenges.

 - A number of meditations including Breath meditation, Body Scan meditation, Mindful movement and Kindness meditation.

 - How to create Mindfulness in daily life (including a number ‘micro-practices’ that help you to reduce stress while going about your daily activities)

 

One to One tuition and guidance

 

These are for people who are unable to attend a course, or for those who would prefer to learn outside of a group setting. The number of sessions required will depend upon your personal preference. 

 

The sessions will be bespoke to your needs. Exploring issues which are specific to your needs in developing your Mindfulness practice.

 

I recommend that the first session is between 1 hr 30 minutes and 2 hours. The length of sessions thereafter are based on individual

need and can be anywhere between 1 and 2 hours. 

 

Visits are made to your home or location of choice in Kirklees,

covering Huddersfield, Brighouse, Batley, Dewsbury and their surrounding areas.

Mindfulness for Health Course 

 

The Mindfulness for Health course provides you with a wide range of mindfulness skills to ease the suffering associated with persistent pain, fatigue and ill health. The course is based on the book Mindfulness for Health by Vidyamala Burch and Danny Penman.

 

The course is open to and welcomes people with all kinds of health conditions including chronic back pain, Arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post operative pain, cancer, nervous disorders, MS, Parkinson's disease and any other non-specific pain or suffering.

 

In the Mindfulness for Health course you will learn:
 

 - Mindfulness meditation practice, including cultivating kindliness towards yourself and empathy for others.

 - How to manage pain, illness and fatigue in daily life.

 - How to breathe into the present moment and find choice.

 

 - Breath and body awareness.

 - Gentle mindful movement and relaxation.
